This was the first fireplace ever designed and made by Dominique Imbert. Decades after its creation, the Antéfocus is still built to order (by hand) in polished raw steel with visible welding seams. Each unit is numbered and signed, a natural tribute to the personality of this fireplace which founded a dynasty.

Focus Sigmafocus

A compact alternative to the traditional barbecue, the sigmafocus attaches to a point on any wall, flips out to cook and folds away afterward. It comes with a stainless steel grill, a range of barbecue tools and can be fueled by wood or charcoal.

The generous ash pan allows the barbecue to be used a number of times without it having to be emptied. The protective dish that attaches to the wall guards against smoke and heat damage. The quality and thickness of the steel guarantees the barbecue’s longevity.

Focus Zen 4

A fitting tribute to Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire and metalwork, this model appears to operate at a primal level. To see it in action is to watch flames brutally tear at the metal, but somehow be contained and confined to repeat their action over and again for purely aesthetic pleasure.

Zen 4 is complemented by multiple safety features. Although it has a naturally stable form, it is fixed to avoid any risk of inversion. It features the automically extinguishing carbon dioxide detector that acts should any fault arise. It has a fueling feature than ensures it can only be filled when it is safe to do so, and provides a safety cap for its electronic elements. The Zen 4 is only available in a waxed steel finish with visible joins.

Focus Filiofocus Telescopic

Architect Sir Norman Foster commissioned Dominique Imbert to create a fireplace for one of his projects.

The innovative and elegant Filiofocus was hailed as a triumph, prompting Dominique Imbert to set out to design a reasonably sized version for contemporary interiors.

With its telescopic hood, this fireplace harmoniously combines refined style with its owner’s needs for easy handling and superior performance. It won the gold medal at Batimat, Paris in 2001 and the silver medal at the International Design Competition in Stuttgart in 2004.
